PLEASE HELPI have medium-long hair, i want to get layers (maybe). what should i get and how do i tell the hairdresser?
You can have short or longer layers...... my hair is a bit longer than yours..... but I have lots of short layers. . . the first starting about chin legnth all the way through to the end.... it's really nice, allows for a lot of movement..... razor cut is best. All you do is tell the hairdresser you want to keep your current lenght with long or short layers, and where you want the shortest length to be..... They know what to do from there, if you can find a picture, that always helps.

This site should help.....

you should ask for ';razored'; layers it's where they use a razor to layer your hair and it comes out really sharp and clean and also you should probably get side bangs those are in now
If I were you I would get a lot of layers, face framing layers then long layers in the back. Layers make a big difference in hair, so tell her to give you a few and see how you like it, but layers are good and fun!
you can get short or long layers. short ones are more at the top and long ones are at the bottom. tell her you want alot of layers, both short and long.
you could get layers-then get sideish bangs that dont always have to go in front of your forehead maybe look throught mags and find a hairstyle you like.

or you can get long and short layers. ask your sylist what they think of your ideas.
TELL THEM YOU WANT YOUR HAIR CUT IN LONG LAYERS , BUT YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THE LENGTH.

AN EXPERIENCED HAIR DRESSER WILL KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN..
Maybe you could thumb through some fashion magazines and fine a picture of someone who has a hair style you like, if so, take the picture to your hairdresser and show them. Like they say a picture speaks louder than words. Good luck...
Ask them to give you a trim (to get rid of any dried or drying ends) and then ask for an all over layering.
