Was the hairdresser today hoping to go from brown to blonde but she said she could only do highlights, and because I was booked in for a full colour she said she would only have time to do hairline and parting highlights. Really disappointed with it now coz its still practically all brown! Has this ever happened to anyone? if she could do hightlights why couldnt she do all the hair? How do other woman manage to go from brown to all blonde??Hairdresser would not dye all my hair blonde?
Dudeeeeee that's wrong. You're the one paying for it and all of that ****.Hairdresser would not dye all my hair blonde?
I had the same problem. My hair is dark brown and I wanted to go blonde also. I think the problem with dying dark hair blonde all at once is that it is bad for your hair. They suggested to keep getting blonde highlights until basically they fill up your hair, and there you go, blonde! Then your hair will be light enough so you can dye it blonde all you want.
The hairdresser done the right thing.
It was not about taking chances, it was about doing the right thing for your hair, using her knowledge, experience and education when it comes to the patron.
A lot of times people tend to think that just because you walk in a salon and say bleach all of my hair, that it should be done because you're paying for it. Nope it doesn't work like that with a cosmetologist who cares about her customers.
Others will take your money and do it knowing the consequences, which is wrong.
When a person with brunette, brown, or black hair decides to go blonde, it has to be done in stages. Because dark hair will have a greenish looking tint to it. Not to mention over processing trying to strip the color out all at once.
Stages are better for the hair, and are better for you, trust me.
some people have to go blonde gradually.
if you're hair is really dark, it's better to be done in stages or it will go some other random colour, normally a golden sort of ginger or grey.
i had a friend that took about 5 months to go fully blonde from dark brown.
you should have asked. in fact, go back and ask why.
Bad luck?....no it hasnt.
It's doable but going from brown to blonde there is a big chance for mess ups (turning red, orange, greenish). She probably didn't want to take the chance. Doing the change slowly will be better for your hair in the long run and the colour will probably be better too!
